stupid people with ugly dogs...

Wed Sep 16, 2009, 11:08 PM
I rarely blog, but I think I might make an exception today. I am so disgusted with peoples ignorance when it comes to being a responsible pet owner. My number one anger is when people don't fix their dogs, and my number two is when people let their dogs get morbidly obese.

I took my dog (3 year old, male, neutered spitz) to the dog park last night on the military base. I don't plan on going back. First, every single dog there was a male. Apparently the military idolizes the penis even in their animals. Although since I myself have a boy dog I couldn't be too disgruntled about that.

I do plan on my next dog being a female. I am tired of the constant dominance battle boys go through and the peeing on everything outside from a twig to a post to a car tire...

I'm getting off track. Back to the dog park. There was this lady there, (NO OFFENSE TO FAT PEOPLE) but she was packing a lot more weight than is healthy to have. And she had a German Sheppard dog. He wasn't that great a looking dog. A shabby looking German if I was being honest. His coloring and fur length/texture just wasn't anything I would remember. His size was mediocre. Not a breeding dog by any means. Well, this dog had it in his mind that he was going to hump my dog into the dust. Usually I chalk it up to dominance, but this dog had serious issues. He was moaning and whining like he was insane with lust. I could clearly tell he was packing a full gun, but as the lady apologized because my dog was clearly freaking out, I kind of snidely asked, "well is he fixed?" She laughed and was like, "oh no, we are going to breed him." I just looked at her and cocked my head. Oh really? Who would want to breed with your ugly German Sheppard when we live in Germany and have such a bountiful crop of dogs to pick from? (that was my thoughts, not my actual words) So I was like, "Oh really, well you should really consider getting him fixed. Most people say they are going to breed their dogs and never actually do. It's just much healthier and he will calm down." then she was like, well if his daddy was here (clearly the husband) then he wouldn't be acting like this. I could put two and two together. <Man buys male dog and has a problem with the dog loosing his balls because it somehow detracts from his own manhood.> Guys are so obsessed with their balls. Dogs aren't in the same way and I wish people would quick humanizing them.

Granted, when my beagle went under the knife, he had to get a cone because after a week he wouldn't stop licking himself. I joked it must be because he misses "them" (maybe he did) or maybe it just hurt and he was being a dog and licking his wound.

Anyway, so then this lady with the completely untrained dog goes over to her bag and pulls out a packet of cubed salami. I was a little like, ugh... that is not a great treat to be giving dogs... But does she give it to the dogs flocking to her feet??? NO! She F$@#ing puts it in her own gaping mouth. The two ladies next to me had to pick up their jaws just like I did. The one lady couldn't hold her tongue (she had the most beautiful little Rot I have ever seen. He was 9 months old and had such a nice head) anyway, she was like, "what are you doing eating meat at a dog park with dogs around you?" And fat lady was like, "oh well I am hungry, I haven't eaten all day." Yeah, I bet. So the German lady was like, "well why don't you eat when you get home then?" The lady just kept stuffing her face and mumbled, "I'm hungry now". So all the dog owners are frustrated because of course their dogs are misbehaving (all except mine which was cowering under a bench because he was terrified of this ugly German Sheppard) and jumping up on this woman to get meat. And she just kept laughing and stuffing her mouth. It was gross!

I took my dog and left. What a stupid woman, and to everyone else that keeps their dogs intact to make themselves feel more masculine... shame on you. You only have a hyperactive dog that is going to be driven by insane instinct they can't help but have. That's my thoughts on that. Think what you want about it.
